Well, with a sad sad heart, the compaq Evo n400c that has searved me well for the last 13 mos. is now offricially in retirement. Allthough stable as ever, it has been running far slower than was acceptable and was holding me back by limiting the graphics tools I could run. It will m ost likely not be put out to pasture however as it is still quit capable of doing work that doesn’t require lots and lots of cycles.

The compaq (Screw HP) Evo n610c system is far larger than I thought it would be however it is screaming fast (2.0 gig P4 and 256 MB DDR pc2100 RAM). I love it, and it loves me.

I will however miss the sharp angles, and the slim figure of the n400c. Ironhide II served me well, and shall not be forgotten.
