Potential AIDS treatment through genetic engineering?
Well scientists in the UK have found a gene in Rhesus monkeys called Trim 5 alpha which prevents HIV from progressing to full blown AIDS.
I’m sure it’s going to take some time to work out the details but this could potentially save allot of lives, provided they work on developing better vectors for delivering gene therapies.
There is little information available about it right now, but I will keep up to date on this matter and post new info as it becomes available, which means that the two people who read this blog… sara, and myself will be well informed on this matter.
