Haven’t put a new song out in a while — So here it is…. The ABRIDGED History of the UN
The ABRIDGED History of the UN
To be sung to the tune of Gilligan’s Island.
Just sit right back and you’ll here a tale,
A tale of some allied states
That started a League of Nations,
As The Covenant clearly states
The founder was a mighty president,
Who spoke of a lasting peace
The dough boys then set sail that day
To make the violence cease, to make the violence cease
But then war started heating up
And civility was tossed,
If not for the allied unity,
Then Europe would be lost, Europe would be lost
The war was won, the troops went home, and now they have their League,
With America
Great Brittan too
France and the allies,
And Germany
And the rest
Were now in the League.
Then they realized they needed more,
When the second war came to a close
Many options for a global plan
A confederacy they chose
The new UN would be a league
But would be allot things more
They would also help in the cause of peace
Instead of averting war
Healthcare! Human Rights! Development!
As well as global peace,
This would work for the most part,
Except in the Middle East
So now they meet every month or so
To try and work things out,
It’s not a perfect system,
But we’re no better off without
