Update from a sad panda
Well, school is starting in the next few weeks and my abdomen still feel like I have a watermelon/volksagen hybrid hanging around near an area which I now know is called the Mesentery. Just had a really strong series of simple partial seizures and I am a little worried about a GTC following suit but we’ll have to see.
At this point I am planning on only taking 6 units of classes this semester again, due to the extreme fatigue that has been haunting me for the last month and a half. I think the fever is starting to fade… or I have grown used to it and just don’t give a sh*t anymore. (Editors note: After careful consideration, I think the latter is more likely.)
Either way, I feel kind of crummy about not taking a full load this semester but I don’t think it would be wise to overdue it and either wind up failing all my classes or worse (believe it or not), get a repeat of the badness that was this summer.
Ok, enough whining, what good stuff have I done this summer… well, my business is doing better than expected considering I haven’t done ANY marketing at all this summer. I have a few perspective projects on the horizon, and have put three to rest this summer. On the intellectual front, I have been slowly working my way through in depth studying of the first amendment, and plan on getting to due process and the 5th by December (with a relatively brief stop at the second, primarily because I think it is pretty open and shut).
My site is in the process of a somewhat slow, incremental update which really has more going on in the backend than the front, however I am trying to really add more breadth to it now. First step: adding a whole new Top Level navigation element (TLNE) which changes a nav structure that has survived 6 years without so much as a flinch. I am going to kill news, because nobody (including myself) cares about site news and I am adding ‘Interesting Stuff’ between ‘Professional Stuff’ and ‘Personal Stuff.’ I have had a few complaints about the simplistic verbiage, but that is really the point, to communicate what that particular arm of the overall site structure contains, and I can’t think of a more clear title than that. The new structure will contain a database of my favorite quotes, perhaps one of favorite speeches, and Book and Music Reviews. I am going to try and add another review section for coffee and coffee stuff, which can later be rolled into the death before decaf project, should it ever get off the ground(s).
Well, that’s where things stand at the moment… I am going to go take a nap. If anyone has any better ideas for the TLNE, I’d love to hear them.
Thanks.
Scott
