Concerning Roberts
It seems to me that the Democrats chief concern with Roberts is that he is a conservative.
They have raised many issues with him, primarily the supposed stance on abortion (which as far as I can tell is exclusively based on his role acting as solicitor general – read representing the executive before – at the time Bush Sr. before the Supreme Court).
If anyone is interested in this geek’s opinion, it sounds to me like people are pissed off because a conservative President nominated a conservative judge for the Supreme Court.
What did people expect?
