Wilma et al. (Redux)
Well, on Wilma’s tail, that tropical wave that had formed by the Lesser Antilles has now developed into TD 25.
The NHC is forecasting TD Alpha later today.
It’s a pretty compact storm at the moment, and most of the models show it getting absorbed by the same system that is expected to interact with Wilma before Alpha has much of a chance to develop any further.
Unfortunately, it may contribute more rain to Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and increase the problems with flooding that they are already having.
On another note, there is yet another tropical wave out in the mid Atlantic however it isn’t clear if the atmospherics are right for more organization.
